4th Grade Curriculum

 

 

Math:              Demonstrate and apply knowledge and sense of numbers, including numeration and operations, patterns, ratios, and proportions.

 

                        Use geometric methods to analyze, categorize and draw conclusions about points, lines, planes, and space.

 

Science:           Understand the processes of scientific inquiry and technical design.

 

                        Understand fundamental concepts, principles, and interconnections of life, physical, and earth and space science.

 

Religion:         Know the difference between good and evil, and identify the good in our lives.

 

                        Learn to celebrate and serve as members of the Church.

 

Language:      Identify and discuss literary elements in a variety of genres.

 

                        Write a fully developed paragraph that contains a topic sentence, details, and a summary/conclusion and utilizes a variety of sentence types.

 

Social Studies: Interpret information in various data bases and graphs.

 

                        Identify regions of the U.S. and how natural resources and population affect economic growth.
