Dear Families of Epiphany School
Students:
Eighth Grade News:
These are very full days as we come to the end of
this school year. All are ready for a summer holiday from studies,
schedules, and getting up early. Our eighth graders have just a little
over a week left of school. We are proud of the way in which they have
grown in young men and women. They will do well in high school. There
are the high schools they will be attending:
St.
Ignatius College Prep (2) Christo Rey (1)
Guerin (1)
Brother
Rice (1) St. Laurence (1)
Maria (2)
Mt. Carmel
(1) Little Village (3)
Stagg (Palos Hills) (1)
Student Mass: Tuesday, May 29th:
On Tuesday we will celebrate our final student Mass
for this 2006-07 school year.
We will dedicate the Mass to our eighth graders, to
our Student Council members, to Fr. Peter McQuinn, and to all our
teachers in thanksgiving for the wonderful year of service to Epiphany
School. We would love to have you present for this celebration
beginning at 8:15AM.
St. Paul of the Cross School Garage Sale:
This was a wonderful event! I attended the sale
along with several Epiphany parents, students, and a teacher. It was an
experience of the Christian community in action. There was a bake sale,
a car wash, a bike raffle, and numerous items of clothing, furniture,
books, and toys. All the proceeds are being directed to Epiphany
School. I can’t tell you how truly humbled I am to receive the
contributions of the St. Paul people for our students. I would like to
thank them in some way. Maybe some of you can come up with some
suggestions for us.
Terra Nova Results:
You all have received the individual report for
your student/s in grades 1 through 8. We improved in several areas and
stayed at expected levels in other areas. The results are important
because they will be used by next year’s teachers for instructional
planning.
If you have questions regarding the results please
stop in. The teachers and I will be happy to review them with you.
Enrollment for 2007-08:
Our numbers are creeping up in our enrollment. Our
preschool has only 4 spaces left. Our 1st, 2nd, 4th,
and 6th grades are just under 20. We will limit our class
size to 22 for this coming year. If you have not registered please do
so before school is out.
Scholarships for 2007-08:
If you are in need of a scholarship for this
coming school year please call for an appointment. We can review
the guidelines for you and begin to gather the needed paperwork.
Remember, if you are responsible for a new family you are entitled to a
$200.00 credit on your own tuition.
