CONDUCT
All students will behave appropriately while at school. No student will be
permitted to engage in behavior that prevents a teacher from teaching or
students from learning.
All students are expected to comply with the following school-wide rules
of behavior:
1. Display courtesy and good manners toward fellow students, school
personnel
and visitors in the building.
2. Have respect for school property and take good care of books, desks,
other
furniture and equipment.
3. Follow directions the first time they are given.
4. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself at all times.
5. Walk at all times.
The following behavior will not be permitted:
1. Name calling, cursing or teasing.
2. Throwing of any objects.
3. Hitting, kicking, pushing, punching, tackling, fighting.
4. Any conduct which is insubordinate or disrespectful to school
employees.
5. Any defiance of authority; failure to respond or carry out a reasonable
request
by a staff member.
6. Engaging in any act which endangers the health, safety, or well-being
of person or property.
7. Defacing school property (graffiti)
Students who do not follow the discipline code outside the classroom will
be corrected immediately by the observing staff member. Students are
expected to respond with respect to directives and requests made by school
personnel.
