STUDY SKILLS

Students should come to classes prepared to learn. A prepared student:

1. brings notebooks, paper, pen or pencil and other materials necessary to class
2. is an active participant in the classroom—listens well and takes part in
discussions
3. asks questions if he/she doesn’t understand the discussion or if he/she has a problem
4. make sure he/she understands the assignment before he/she leaves class
5. if necessary, asks the teacher for extra help before or after school
