TARDINESS
A student is considered tardy if he/she is not in his/her homeroom when
the tardy bell rings at 8:05 a.m.
Students who are tardy disrupt classes and cause loss of instruction time
for themselves and for other students. Furthermore, being on time for
school helps establish responsibility and good work habits which are
important both in school and in later life.
A student who arrives late must report to the office to obtain a tardy
slip which is given to the teacher upon entering the classroom. This
allows the office to correct the attendance report.
Any student who has 2 or more tardies is ineligible for a Perfect
Attendance report.
With regards to severe weather conditions, students are allowed into the
school building at 7:45 a.m. on days when it is raining or extremely cold.
