  Board of Specified Jurisdiction

   

  Founded in 2007, the BSJ was tasked with the responsibility of supporting the students, staff, community, and mission statement of Epiphany Catholic School through publicity and networking efforts, fundraising, community engagement, and mentorship.  Board members serve renewable three year terms. Members include:
  
  Jeffery Apel, President, member since 2007. Mr. Apel is a practicing attorney in corperate and securities transactions.  He was raised in Minnesota, relocated to the Chicago area, and volunteered his time with the Big Shoulders Fund. Mr. Apel's committments to the Big Shoulders Fund and involvement with Catholic education ultimately led him to his service at Epiphany.  Mr. Apel and his wife have one daughter.
  
  Denise Bujak, Financial Chair, member since 2012. Mrs. Bujak is a long time supportor of Catholic Schools, with herself, her husband and her children all graduates of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago. She retired as the Chief Financial Officer of Health Care Service Corp, which gives Denise a great insight into assisting with Epiphany's financial goals. Mrs. Bujak is married, has two adult children, and is a long-time friend of former Epiphany Principal Dave Burke.
  
  Linhard Stepf, member since 2007.
  
  Velia Delgado, member since 2013. Mrs. Delgado is a Project Manager for Allstate Insurance. She offers a particularly special insight as the mother of an Epiphany student!  Furthermore, Catholic Schools have a special place for her, as she educated at a nearby Our Lady of Pompeii, and understands the communtiy needed to make Epiphany continue to be successful.  Mrs. Delgado was a big part of beginning the on-site Auction Dinner (now the Lumen Gala). She is married and has two children.  
  
  Marc Lacher, member since 2014.
  
  Ed Hauad, member since 2015.
